Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using RemoteHerd ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

RemoteHerd provides a platform for job seekers to discover remote employment opportunities and for employers to post job listings. Our services include:

• Job search and filtering tools
• Job alerts and notifications
• Career resources and articles
• Subscription-based access to premium features

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Subscription Plans

We offer the following subscription plans, each granting access to specific features as described on our Pricing page:

• Trial — $3.05, valid for 3 calendar days from the date of purchase. Provides access to all remote job listings.
• Monthly — $15.05, valid for 30 calendar days. Provides access to job listings and the Small Companies Dashboard.
• API Access — $49.00, valid for 30 calendar days. Provides full platform access plus API Playground and REST API key generation.

All plans are one-time, non-recurring purchases. You will not be charged automatically at the end of your plan period. To continue access, you must purchase a new plan.

4.2 Billing

Payment is charged in full at the time of purchase. All prices are in USD. By completing a purchase, you authorise us to charge your payment method for the stated amount via our payment processor, Stripe.

4.3 Access and Expiry

Your plan access begins immediately upon successful payment and remains active until the end of the stated period (3 days or 30 days). After expiry, you will lose access to plan-gated features until a new plan is purchased. Your account and saved data are not deleted.

4.4 Cancellation

"Cancel anytime" means you are never locked into automatic renewals — all plans are single purchases with no recurring billing. There is nothing to cancel. If you simply do not purchase a new plan, your access ends naturally at the plan expiry date and you will not be charged again.

4.5 Refund Policy

Due to the short-term and immediately-consumed nature of our plans, all purchases are generally non-refundable. However, if you experience a technical issue that prevented you from accessing the service you paid for, please contact us at contact@remoteherd.com within 48 hours of purchase and we will review your case. Refunds are issued at our discretion and processed back to the original payment method.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Scrape, copy, or misuse platform content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the platform for spam or unsolicited communications
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content on RemoteHerd, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (resumes, profiles, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it as necessary to provide our services.

6.3 Job Listings

Job listings are provided by third parties. We don't guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability of any job posting.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

RemoteHerd is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Accuracy of job listings or information
• Employment outcomes or job placement
• Security of data transmission

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RemoteHerd shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Actions of third-party employers or users
• Unauthorized access to your account

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold RemoteHerd harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Non-payment of fees
• Any reason at our discretion

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We'll notify you of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where RemoteHerd operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive the right to participate in class actions.
